Introducing Gia Cecchele

After qualifying as a Pharmacist in 1980, I worked as a Pharmacy Manager in various pharmacies until I took the position at Inglewood Amcal Chemist in 1989.

In 1995 I became a partner in the business with Ian Barron and we increased our product range to include Lotto and Newsagency lines.

I have been involved in the local community and Pharmacy professional associations over the years. Currently I am the Grants Co-Ordinator at the Beaufort Street Learning Centre and on the fundraising committee of the John O’Hara Research Fund, which provides research grants for WA pharmacists to do research to benefit the public.

In 2012, I was awarded the inaugural 5 Star Communicator Pharmacist Award from the Pharmaceutical Society of WA, and the Kevin McAnuff Award for services to the Pharmacy industry from the Pharmacy Guild of WA. I wouldn’t be able to reach those professional heights if I didn’t love being a part of this community.
